ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Experience the joy of mosaic creation in our engaging 1-day workshop at the NC MOSAICS studio in the Eno Arts Mill, Hillsborough. Running from 9:30 am to12:30 pm, this immersive session is designed for those keen on crafting small mosaics. Discover the basics of mosaic making as we guide you through using a mosaic hammer or nippers to cut materials, placing them on a 4 x 4 inch wood substrate via the direct method. Our special thinset ensures the secure placement of tesserae over a pre-designed image, or you can work spontaneously with an original idea. In this dynamic three-hour session, we delve into Andamento, Cutting, and Creating, offering a unique and enjoyable learning experience. With 24 years of expertise in teaching mosaics and using our own smalti glass, we ensure a fun and informative environment. Have questions about the class? Feel free to reach out.
