MOSAIC BASICS 2 DAY WORKSHOP

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Immerse yourself in the art of mosaic creation through our hands-on workshop, where students delve into essential techniques. Guided by our experienced instructor, participants will master the use of fundamental tools like the mosaic Martelina (Hammer) and Hardie (Steel Cutter), employing them with smalti glass in their projects. This workshop focuses on the direct technique, utilizing a design proposed by the teacher. Students will engage in Andamento (Flow) design, explore color theory, and gain proficiency in cutting materials with traditional tools. The ultimate goal is to equip participants for future projects using the indirect method on flat surfaces. Running for two days from 9:30 pm to 12:30 pm at the NCMOSAICS Studio in the Eno Arts Mill, this workshop provides a comprehensive foundation. Please check the specific start dates for each month to plan accordingly. To ensure a personalized learning experience, we limit each workshop to six participants, fostering full interaction between the teacher and students. In the event the minimum enrollment is not met, we will reschedule for the next available class to ensure a fulfilling and enriching experience for all. Materials Included.
